Bricks to Books, Health and Wellbeing Empowering Migrant Tribal Children and Women in Brick-Kilns, Varanasi

This project supports migrant tribal families working in brick-kilns by providing education, health care, nutrition, and labour rights awareness. It focuses on ensuring learning continuity for children, improving maternal and child health, and promoting safer and fairer working conditions.

Direct Beneficiaries: 200 children, 120 women, and 80 pregnant & lactating mothers across 8 brick-kilns.
Duration: 9 months (October–June)
Budget: ₹23,46,500

Access to Education through Motorized Wheelchairs

Jan Vikas Samiti (JVS) seeks support to improve access to education for youngsters with disabilities in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh, India by providing 25 motorized tricycles. Many children with locomotor disabilities face mobility barriers that limit school attendance and participation in daily life. Manual mobility aids can be exhausting over long distances, leading to irregular attendance and school dropout. This project provides assessment, customized fitting, mobility training, and structured distribution camps to enhance independence, improve school retention, and enable full participation in education and community life.

Target: 25 youngsters with disabilities

Identity, Justice and
Opportunity: Women-led Resilience among Musahar and Nat Communities
Jan Vikas Samiti (JVS) seeks institutional partnership for a three-year feminist initiative in Harahua Block, Varanasi, empowering women from Musahar and Nat communities to lead change in education, entitlements, and livelihoods.

The project will establish women-led education centres, strengthen Self-Help Groups, ensure girls’ equal participation, and mobilise women to access social protection and government schemes — building long-term resilience and justice.
