On February 2, 2024, Jan Vikas Samiti organized a health and assessment camp at its Tillampur sub-centre. The camp aimed to help children with different disabilities get the care and support they need. 29 parents participated and a total of 26 children with various disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities, and Down Syndrome were screened. Our team, consisting of ortho technicians, special educators, and physiotherapists, conducted thorough assessments to understand each child’s unique needs and prepared goal planning and rehabilitation plans. The assessments covered various aspects, such as speech and language development, education, physiotherapy, activities of daily living (ADL), gait training, domestic tasks, as well as child and parent counselling sessions. Parents received invaluable guidance on home-based education, therapy techniques, and ADL support to empower them in aiding their children’s development and well-being.
