From December 29, 2025, to January 6, 2026, Jan Vikas Samiti, with the generous support of Hand in Hand Society, Germany, and Friends of IMS, UK, organized a Winter Blanket Distribution Program to provide essential warmth to 607 poor and migrant families in Gajipur and Varanasi districts. Each family received two warm blankets, helping them stay safe and comfortable during the harsh winter months.
This support reached families living in brick kilns in Gajipur, including Yadukul, Aman, Tata, and Jai Bajrang; brick kilns in Varanasi, including JRC Jaipar and Kashi Jamalpatti; as well as Musahar bastis in Varanasi, including Bedi, Tewar, Puarikhurd, Khanpatti, Sarsawan, Gosaipur, and Ayar Panchayats. By providing these essential winter supplies, Jan Vikas Samiti aimed not only to meet immediate needs but also to bring hope, comfort, and dignity to vulnerable communities that face challenging living conditions.
Through initiatives like this, Jan Vikas Samiti continues to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to uplifting marginalized communities, ensuring that migrant workers, brick kiln laborers, and Musahar families are supported, cared for, and empowered to face the winter season with warmth and security.
