Distribution of Vending Carts- Promoting Rural livelihood
Today, Jan Vikas Samiti (JVS) distributed vending carts to 20 rural women from the Harhua block to initiate livelihood activities. These women have been trained by JVS in small eateries production and marketing. The distribution took place after a short orientation on the importance of women’s involvement in economic activities for financial independency. Addressing the participants, Mr. Chandran Riymonds, the Executive Director of JVS, highlighted the crucial role of women in economic activities, which enhances their dignity and respect within their family and society. The women expressed confidence in earning between rupees 300 and rupees 500 daily by engaging in activities such as selling vegetables and fruits in local markets and running small eateries using these vending carts.
