Providing immediate relief to families and communities impacted with natural disasters and pandemic such as COVID-19, ‘Jan Vikas Samiti’ works proactively in the times of medical/natural emergencies. The organization has an exceptional track record of working at ground zero in times disasters such as Kosi Flood, Nepal Earthquake, Nationwide Lockdown due to COVID-19 and the recent flood in river Ganges. With a team of dedicated individuals and a strong network of ‘Self Help Groups’ (SHGs) at village level ‘Jan Vikas Samiti’ ensures effective outreach and distribution of relief material and support to the ones in need.

Alongside, providing immediate relief the organization also orients masses about various government schemes and relief measures that may help the communities rehabilitate with ease. The support of network partners at grassroots and donor organizations, aptly amplifies the organization’s efforts to enhance its reach and save more and more lives in the times of crisis.

Standing firm with this belief, team ‘Jan Vikas Samiti’ during this period conducted a massive COVID19 relief drive which focused upon prevention of this infection within rural communities by providing them COVID-19 preventive pills at zero costs. This drive reached out to 11,769 families who were directly benefitted with these medicine kits which comprised of Paracetamol, Doxycycline, Ivermectin, Zincovit Multivitamin and Vitamin C with Zinc pills for better immunity.
