A three-day capacity building programme on Basic Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities was conducted by Jan Vikas Samiti (JVS), Varanasi, from 18–20 March 2026.
27 DPO members from 5 states participated in this hands-on training focused on understanding disability, identification, and practical assessment methods.
What made this training meaningful was its real-world approach—participants engaged in group activities and practical sessions, and worked on understanding actual cases. Interaction with children from Mushkan Rehabilitation Center allowed them to learn directly from real-life situations, while sharing moments of joy, connection, and care.
The programme also encouraged networking, problem-solving, and collaborative learning among participants. More than just a training, it was about building skills, empathy, and action for inclusion.
