JVS successfully organized a three-day National Convention of DPO Networks, bringing together 40 DPO leaders from eight states—West Bengal, Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Bihar. The convention provided a platform for dialogue and collective planning, where participants identified key national priorities such as accessibility at railway stations and platforms and the implementation of caretaker allowance for persons with disabilities, along with state-level issues including increased budget provisions, unemployment allowance, and strengthening Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs). The convention concluded with the development of time-bound action plans for coordinated state and national advocacy, reaffirming a shared commitment to inclusive policies, equal rights, and disability justice.
