On May 1st, the newly established office of Jan Vikas Samiti in Dharaura, Kerakat, Uttar Pradesh, was inaugurated by the Chairman of Kerakat Nagar Panchayat, Shri Golu Jaiswal. The center will offer free training programs in computer education, sewing, and beautician courses to support local skill development.

During the event, Mr. Chandran Riymonds, Executive Director of Jan Vikas Samiti, shared that the organisation has been working for the past 28 years, supporting over 14,000 women through 820 self-help groups. He highlighted the organisation’s ongoing work in social development, women empowerment, health, education, and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. The main office of the organisation is located in Murdaha, Varanasi, from where regional activities are managed.

The inauguration was attended by several respected guests, including Manoj Jaiswal, President of the Traders’ Association; Subhash Yadav, Pradhan of Chhitouna; Sarita, Pradhan of Chaukia; along with Pramod Shukla, Ramesh (Pradhan), Program Officer Abhishek Mishra, Felix Thomas, Ranjit Singh, Sudha Singh, and Ashok Prajapati, among others.
