On March 8, 2025, Jan Vikas Samiti, in collaboration with NABARD, celebrated International Women’s Day in Murdaha, Varanasi, bringing together 1,200 women from the Harahua, Pindra, Baragaon, and Kerakat blocks. The event featured cultural performances, including traditional folk songs, dances, and plays, as well as personal stories of resilience and success. Interactive sessions encouraged attendees to embrace leadership roles and explore new economic opportunities.

Distinguished guests, such as Poonam Maurya, District Panchayat President, and Anuj Kumar Singh, NABARD District Development Officer, emphasized the importance of women’s leadership in decision-making processes. Awards were presented to honor outstanding contributions:
