On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Chief Minister of Utttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Aadiyanath today presented State Awards to 19 Individuals with disabilities and Organizations who have done exceptional work in their life and or in the field of disability. On behalf of Jan Vikas Samiti, Fr Chandran Riymonds the Secretary cum Executive Director received the award under the category ‘Best Research (Innovation) to Empower the life of Persons with Disabilities’ for the program “Early Identification and Early Intervention for Children with Developmental Delays and Disabilities through Tele-Rehabilitation”. Jan Vikas Samiti is grateful to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Uttar Pradesh for this recognition and honour and appreciates all the JVS team members who work hard to provide home-based Rehabilitation to 1580 children with disabilities through the program.
