		<title>Training of Trainers (ToT) on Indian Sign Language</title>

					<description><![CDATA[JVS observed a lack of general awareness about different issues of persons with hearing impairment, particular the lack of sign language users in public spaces create the biggest barriers to deaf youths integration into society. Restricted numbers of professionals who can use sign language also limits their ability to communicate with and develop improved understandings of the Deaf community. To learn and practice Indian Sign Language, JVS conducted two training programme during 9th to 10th March and 13th to 14th March 2022 at Murdaha, Varanasi. 39 participants from Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh took part in it to learn Indian Sign Language for a means of communication with hearing-impaired persons. During the training, participants learned basics of sign language like English alphabets, Hindi alphabets, name of month, name of days, name of fruits, body parts, name of animals and many more common words used during day to day communication. Mr. Anurag (from NAB, New Delhi) facilitated two days training programme.]]></description>
