The program provided hands-on learning led by Natural Farming expert Dr. Ganesh Kumar Gupta, who demonstrated the preparation and effective use of natural inputs such as Jivamrit, Bijamrit, mulching, Vapsa, and eco-friendly plant protection solutions, including Brahmastra, Agniastra, and Dashparni Ark.
Agricultural Scientist Dr. Shivam Chaubey highlighted the long-term benefits of organic and natural farming, motivating participants to adopt low-cost, environmentally sustainable practices that strengthen both livelihoods and local ecosystems.
A total of 55 women farmers from Harahua Block actively participated, gaining practical skills and confidence to drive sustainable agriculture in their communities. This program marks a significant step toward women’s empowerment and climate-smart farming in the region.

The program focused on enhancing awareness of income-generating activities, non-agricultural enterprises, and animal husbandry to encourage self-reliance among rural communities.
Dr. Shivam Chaubey shared insights on entrepreneurship development, income opportunities, and effective utilization of local resources. Mr. Vivek Kumar Maurya provided practical guidance on non-farm enterprises, animal husbandry practices, management, marketing, and government schemes.
The program was supported by Jan Vikas Samiti field workers Jadavati and Anju and saw active participation from villagers, who found the training informative and useful. Jan Vikas Samiti continues its commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods through such capacity-building initiatives.

The visit aimed to strengthen the technical knowledge and entrepreneurial capacities of women farmers through exposure to scientific dairy farming practices. Participants gained practical insights into improved dairy management and observed live demonstrations on the preparation of milk by-products.
Hands-on training was provided on milk processing and value addition, including the preparation of paneer, curd, ghee, khoya, and other dairy products. This practical learning experience helped participants understand ways to enhance product quality, increase income, and explore local market opportunities.
The exposure visit was successfully coordinated by the project team and marked an important step toward promoting sustainable livelihoods, enhancing women’s skills, and encouraging women-led rural enterprises.

The seminar provided a safe and encouraging space for 120 participants to reflect on issues of equality, rights and dignity, and to strengthen their confidence to challenge discrimination within their communities.

Today, Jan Vikas Samiti (JVS) distributed vending carts to 20 rural women from the Harhua block to initiate livelihood activities. These women have been trained by JVS in small eateries production and marketing. The distribution took place after a short orientation on the importance of women’s involvement in economic activities for financial independency. Addressing the participants, Mr. Chandran Riymonds, the Executive Director of JVS, highlighted the crucial role of women in economic activities, which enhances their dignity and respect within their family and society. The women expressed confidence in earning between rupees 300 and rupees 500 daily by engaging in activities such as selling vegetables and fruits in local markets and running small eateries using these vending carts.
